Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences has designed a distance
education Bachelors in Radiologic Sciences program to meet your needs.
This program, which is accredited, affordable, and convenient, offers a
supportive, high-quality learning experience designed specifically for
the working professional.
Multi-media Lectures and Readings
The majority of classroom-style presentations are delivered via
multi-media presentations. Students view the presentations according to
the weekly schedule established by the course instructor. The course
instructor also identifies a course textbook(s), which students will
obtain from the college. Any additional readings, such as articles, are
included in the course manual or online, which is distributed at no
additional cost to students prior to the first day of the course. The
course manual also includes a syllabus with course objectives, a weekly
reading/multimedia viewing schedule, assignments, quiz schedule and
contact information for the faculty.
Internet Discussion Sessions and Course Assignments
The program uses the Internet to provide the highest quality and
amount of peer/faculty interaction possible. All relevant course
information is posted on the Internet Communication Center website, a
centralized interaction portal for students, instructors, facilitators,
and program administrators. It includes all course assignments, allowing
students to complete them from the convenience of their homes or
offices. It also contains message boards (forums), live online
discussion sessions (chats), and direct e-mail to the faculty and staff
of the program.
Small Group Experiences
The program provides many opportunities for working in small groups
with other radiologic technologists. These group communications and
activities give you chances to share your own experiences and learn from
the experiences of others.
Professional Practice Setting
Working professionals have many opportunities in the real-world
practice settings to apply and reinforce their learning. Interaction and
collaboration with professional colleagues and supervisors present
immediate opportunities to put new knowledge and skills to work.
