SPECIAL ENROLLMENT ISSUES
- Prepares students to work with gifted and talented children.
Emphasis is placed on developing specific skills in identification
of gifted students, focusing on characteristics and needs of special
populations, assessing students� cognitive and affective strengths
and weakness, modifying educational programs to develop gifted
students potential, and consulting with gifted students, their
families, and teachers. This certificate qualifies teachers for the
State of Florida endorsement in Gifted Education.
- The applicant must document that s/he has the graduate-level
knowledge required to enroll in the certificate courses. In
addition, the applicant must hold a bachelor抯 degree from a
regionally accredited institution.
International applicants must provide original transcripts certified
