    DESCRIPTION
This 18-hour Graduate Certificate Program in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is aimed at permitting employed/experienced rehabilitation counselors to sit for the national certification examination by submitting the body of academic work required by the certifying organization. That accomplishment is recognized through granting of this Certificate.

The goals of the certificate program are to 1) permit working counselors who have a graduate degree, but not in Rehabilitation Counseling, to qualify for national certification as rehabilitation counselors; 2) promote values, skills, and knowledge that result in a genuine commitment to human rights, professionalism, personal integrity, and ethical practice; 3) advance the basic philosophical tenets of rehabilitation; 4) provide a high quality, accessible learning experience for each student which allows program graduates to gain national certification as rehabilitation counselors (CRC).
