    DESCRIPTION
The professional management major is an upper-level, degree completion program that is offered almost entirely at off-campus locations and through a Web-based format. Nearly all the professional management students work in technical or professional fields and are seeking career advancement into supervisory and management position. The major also provides the academic foundation necessary for these students to pursue a master's in business administration degree (MBA). As with the business administration major, the goal of the professional management major is to give students a systematic understanding of how people organize to accomplish specific goals and objectives in a business environment. The primary difference between the two majors is that professional management is slightly less technical in orientation and allows for greater flexibility in the application of transfer and experiential credit to satisfy graduation requirements.

    ACCESS TO FINANCIAL AID RESOURCES
The Office of Student Financial Aid administers the university's financial aid programs of grants, loans, scholarships, and student employment, and provides professional financial advisors to help students plan for the most efficient use of their financial resources for education. Underlying the awarding of financial assistance is the philosophy that students have a responsibility to contribute from their earnings and savings toward their education. Financial aid resources serve to supplement the student's financial resources. In order to participate in financial aid programs, a student must be admitted into a university program, and must be a citizen, a national or permanent resident of the United States, or be in the United States for other than a temporary purpose. Proof must be provided to the Office of Student Financial Aid. A prospective student who requires financial assistance must apply for financial aid while he or she is a candidate for admission. To continue financial aid, at a minimum, enrolled students must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress toward a stated educational objective in accordance with the university's policy on satisfactory progress for financial aid recipients. Students and prospective students may apply for financial aid online. For financial aid information or application forms contact: Office of Financial Aid
Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33314-7796, (954) 262-3380 or toll free 800-522-3243.
It is recommended that students apply for financial aid well in advance of the date the funds will be needed because normal application processing takes six to eight weeks and sometimes as many as 12 weeks. It is extremely important that students complete all forms correctly and respond promptly to all inquiries in order to prevent delays in processing. Awards are made only for the academic year.
