Complete and mail the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1, or apply online. The priority deadline for receipt of your FAFSA information and verification information, if selected, is April 15. Students applying after May 15 will be awarded on a "funds available basis" and should not expect to receive aid by the beginning of the fall semester. Therefore, those students will be responsible for timely payment of tuition, books, etc.

Applying for financial aid involves lengthy processing and mailing time between agencies in widespread locations. Applying early and following up on your application is the best way to receive the assistance for which you qualify in time to begin school. Financial Aid resources are available online.
