Darden measures success by the success of our graduates. Here, students prepare not only to excel in their careers, but to initiate change and make a mark on the business world. After Darden, our graduates are prepared to create, transform and lead great organizations. Darden graduates are consistently praised for their ability to identify the most important business issues, provide analytically sound responses to those issues, and work effectively with teams and dynamic organizations to reach solutions. Each student receives a well-rounded and comprehensive general management education. The Darden School consistently ranks among the best MBA programs in the world. Classes are taught using the case method, which requires an intense level of student participation. Every day, students discuss real-world business issues and analyze the successes and failures of managers in organizations around the world. This approach requires students to confront problems head-on and to draw on their own experiences — as well as the input and perspectives of classmates — to make thoughtful and informed decisions. The Darden faculty consists of more than 80 scholars distinguished by a wide range of business and academic experience. Most have taught or worked outside the United States. Faculty exchange programs ensure that Darden's professors remain in tune with current global business issues and practices. Darden's Career Development Center provides career counseling and job-search training, and serves as a liaison between students and organizations seeking MBAs for internships or full-time positions. Hundreds of U.S. and international firms representing every major industry maintain active recruiting relationships with Darden and travel to the School each year to interview Darden talent.
