Marketing Manager Job Description

Position Description

Responsible for the development and execution of the strategy for the Baxter Patient Care System product portfolio in the US Region. Provide analysis, project management and support in the establishment of the strategic direction for the development and execution of the tactical marketing programs associated with the launch of the product portfolio. Develop and implement market and environmental assessments (market research/competitive intelligence plans) to gain insights for strategic and tactical plan development through greater understanding of current market dynamics. Assist in the evaluation of new projects or product launches by performing market research and assisting with feasibility assessments for life cycle management. Work with the marketing team to develop and execute communication plans for both internal and external customers including: intra/internet based tools, sales collateral, conventions/exhibits, sales force meetings, trade shows to showcase the product portfolio. Provide marketing input to product development and R&D teams. Attend national and regional conventions, trade shows and symposia and make sales and marketing presentations as needed. Work with the Sales Training, US Sales and Client Services teams to ensure successful implementation of all marketing programs.

Strong team oriented, self-initiated individual. Excellent analytical skills and business acumen to prioritize and track the value of marketing initiatives. Working knowledge of competitive assessment and market research skills. Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across functions. Must be able to work with all levels of an organization. Adept at affecting change through others. 3-5 years marketing experience, MBA required. Business development and strategy experience a plus.
