Master of Sports Science in Sports Management
A student interested in pursuing a degree in Sports Management may be
accepted from a variety of backgrounds. Undergraduate majors with
backgrounds in business administration, management, finance, marketing,
human relations, physical education, communications or sport management
are most suitable. The graduate curriculum in Sports Management is
designed to prepare students for a number of career and leadership
opportunities in sport and recreational management. Program objectives
prepare the student for the demands involved in the operation of sport
programs at various levels. Sports Management students may prepare
themselves for careers as sports facilities managers, sport information
directors, sport front office administrators, sport community relations
directors, etc. The master's curriculum in sports management is 33
semester hours and can be completed entirely online with the exception
of coming on campus to take the comprehensive examinations that are held
in conjunction with the Academy's graduation celebration. |
