Doctor of Sports Management
The doctoral curriculum in Sports Management is designed to prepare each
student for the increasing number of leadership opportunities in the
field of sport and recreational management. Program objectives prepare
the student to meet a multiplicity of demands involved in the operation
of sports programs at various levels. Sports Management study may
prepare students for careers as faculty in higher education, athletic
directors, sports facility managers, sports office administrators, and
sports community relations directors to name a few of the myriad of
possibilities. The degree program is 60 semester hours above a master's
degree and carries with it a residential requirement of either one
6-week summer session or three 2-week mini summer sessions. The
remainder of the program can be completed online. |
