Students beginning work toward the master's degree in AE should have an adequate background in subject matter prerequisite to their graduate work. A bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics usually provides the necessary prerequisites. Should undergraduate preparation be inadequate, remedial course work may be required.
