DESCRIPTION
- The EMBA degree program is a 39-semester hour program, of which
36 hours are taken for graduate credit. The program is designed to
offer graduates of baccalaureate programs in accounting, and those
with or without degrees outside business [who meet a stipulated
professional experience prerequisite] an opportunity to obtain
graduate-level proficiency in management, business skills, and
decision-making which would enable them to be successful in
management positions in both the private and public sectors. The
program is organized to provide advanced study to students who have
acquired a common body of knowledge [through education and
professional experience] in business administration. Students
pursuing the EMBA degree, other than those with accounting
undergraduate degrees, must satisfy the requirement of having
completed no less than 5 years minimum professional work experience.
All students are required to submit a letter of corporate
endorsement or recommendation. These latter two requirements,
combined with the successful completion of a prerequisite survey and
review of business concepts taught during the first residential
session, will ensure a common foundation of fundamental business
knowledge for students pursuing this degree.
