Most aid programs are based on individual need of the applicant,
determined by completing the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) which does not require a processing fee. Forms are
available in January and may be obtained through the University or
completed on-line. Application for financial aid must be made each
academic year. Although March 15 is the preference deadline for most
applications, JSU accepts applications throughout the academic year.
VA Education benefits pay for classes toward the major and require
completion of several forms. Contact JSU's Office of Veterans
Affairs (256/782-5892) for further information. Most programs
require at least half-time for eligibility. The JSU Financial Aid
web site contains all information to apply for financial aid.
