Our online master's degree in psychology allows you to further
develop your socialization into the field of psychology through
foundational courses and interaction with faculty who are accomplished
professionals in their field.
This clinical psychology master's degree specialization is designed for
those interested in pursuing the doctoral degree. You will develop
theoretical understanding, and research and assessment skills applicable
to a clinical setting. While some learners may pursue licensure as
psychology assistants or technicians, this specialization does not
prepare graduates for licensure as independent, professional counselors
or psychologists. Capella University offers a PsyD specialization in
clinical psychology that complements this master's degree.
Residency Requirements: Three week-long master's degree colloquia, each
taken during specific milestones in your program.
Note: Master's degree requirements in this program do not prepare
graduates for licensure as clinical psychologists.
