The HCM program provides an online active learning environment
especially for those health care clinicians who have decided to enlarge
their job opportunities to include the field of administration,
management and leadership. This program prepares students with the
knowledge and skills in order to manage their health care organization's
operations both efficiently and effectively. Completion of this program
allows the Bellevue University graduate to pursue a career as a
manager/administrator in a variety of positions across the health care
continuum. Examples of these positions include: clinic/physician's
office manager, assisted living center administrator or marketing
director, hospital department manager or program manager, Worker's
Compensation administrator, or health insurance claims examiner. A
student completing this program will be able to move from a clinical
position to a management or administrative position because they possess
the educational background in the management functions of planning,
organizing, leading and controlling.
