- Two-year college

- Approved New York colleges and universities.

Additional information:
- Must be child, spouse, or financial dependent of persons who
died or became severely and permanently disabled due to the
September 11th attacks or rescue and recovery operation
- At public colleges and universities (CUNY or SUNY), award
covers actual tuition and mandatory educational fees; actual
room and board for living on campus (or an allowance for
commuters); and allowances for books, supplies, and
transportation
- At private institutions, award amount equals SUNY four-year
college tuition and fees and allowances for room and board,
books, supplies, and transportation
- New York State resident family members who were enrolled in
undergraduate programs at U.S
- colleges or universities outside of New York State on
September 11, 2001, are also eligible
