College Admission Requirement
Admission to colleges is selective, based on academic achievement
and potential. If you are an American applicant who earns
an academic honors diploma or an out-of-state applicant who pursues
a comparable curriculum, you are eligible to apply.
Other factors considered in determining college admission are
- the number of AP or IB or other special academic courses
completed
- extracurricular activities and leadership experiences
- letters of reference from teachers familiar with your
potential for college academic work
- standardized test scores - students are encouraged to take
both the SAT and the ACT (though either is acceptable) and to
re-take the test if the scores are low or marginal. (Ball State
uses the highest sub-scores, not necessarily the highest single
test.)
