UT's innovative 17-month MBA Program reflects today's globally connected
business world. From the cutting-edge integrated curriculum to intense
teambuilding exercises and leadership development, students learn skills
they need to successfully transition from the classroom to the networked
business world. The program is built on a foundation of basic skills that
every global manager must know. Because alliances and partnerships are an
integral part of business success, the 1st year curriculum includes an
empasis on Integrated Value Chain (IVC) management that provides students
with the tools and skills for interfirm and intrafirm management. It
illustrates how global relationships among business partners, suppliers,
customers and competitors are used to achieve more dramatic results. UT uses
a multimodal mix of applied learning methods. Core I lays the basic
foundation, essential computer skills, team and communication skills. Core
II has 2 parallel tracks of "what every global manager needs to know"
regarding business basics, and "what every global manager needs to know"
about IVC. There is a 1-hour career development course to ensure success in
the job search. Core III continues the 2 tracks. HUB courses enroll the
students in their 1st concentration classes that better prepare them for
their internships. In Fall II, the students complete their
concentration/elective courses, plus a 1-hour capstone course. Concentration
include: finance, marketing, logistics, operations management and
innovation/entrepreneurship.
