Students are admitted to the full-time MBA Program in the autumn
quarter only. There are three application deadlines, with early
applicants rolled over for consideration at subsequent deadlines.
Chicago is known for having one of the most flexible,
cross-disciplinary curriculum of any top-tier business school. With
only one required course in the entire curriculum--Leadership
Effectiveness and Development (LEAD)--students are empowered to
tailor course selections to fit thier unique experiences, interests,
and career plans. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the
larger University of Chicago offerings and immerse themselves in an
environment that has produced more Nobel laureates than any other
institution. Our students even choose their degree option: MBA,
International MBA, or joint degree. Our joint-degree program enables
students to combine business with international relations, area
studies, law, medicine, public policy, or social service
administration. Students are given opportunities to partner with
leading corporations and firms to create sophisticated business
solutions in real time through the school's experiential learning
courses. Real-world labs are offered in private equity/venture
campital; new product and strategy development; new venture and
small enterprise; entrepreneurship and marketing. The caliber and
reputation of Chicago GSB faculty is unmatched in business
education. Faculty membrs are Nobel laureates, presidential
appointees, fellows of the American Arts and Sciences, founders of
companies and are current company board members. Once students
arrive on campus they are challenged and encouraged by fellow
students, supported by one of the top-rated career services
departments of any business school in the world, and have acess to
networking with the school's 39,000 high-powered alumni in 90
countries. Classes are held in the new Hyde Park Center one of the
world's most sophisticated business school facilities.
