INVESTMENT
MANAGEMENT DIVISION -- SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM
Description:
We are accepting applications for the Private Wealth Management
Summer Program. This is a ten-week program designed to have the
Summer Associate gain insight into the Private Wealth Management
Group within our Investment Management Division. The emphasis is on
advising individuals and family groups on their comprehensive
investment management needs. The Summer Associate will spend a
two-week rotation in a regional office in either Boston, Chicago,
Miami, Houston or San Francisco and eight weeks in the New York
office. At the end of the program he or she will be considered for a
permanent position in one of these offices depending on the regional
placement during the summer. The program will include a number of
business simulation exercises, plus group and individual projects.
Other components of the program will include: business unit
sponsored presentations and activities, ongoing training and
dinners/ social activities, role-play simulations, and other
instructional events conducted by Goldman Sachs professionals on a
broad range of topics.
INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM
Overview The Private Wealth Management Group: identifies new
business opportunities; develops and prepares marketing
presentations that address asset allocation, the selection of
Investment Managers in equities, fixed income and alternative
investments; works in conjunction with investment research and other
areas of the firm to respond to client needs; analyzes client
equity, fixed income and alternative investment portfolios; works on
discrete projects related to strategic planning, product development
and other marketing infrastructure issues.
The Summer Associate will experience being part of a relationship
management team responsible for marketing new business and managing
existing client relationships with wealthy individuals and families.
Responsibilities:
* Participates in classes, role-play simulations, and other
instructional events conducted by Goldman Sachs professionals on a
broad range of topics, including portfolio construction and
management, selling techniques, trading language, investment
analysis and market specific knowledge in conjunction with
investment research and other areas of the firm to respond to client
needs.
* Ongoing lead generation project to support regional affiliated
office.
* Completes projects and presentations on various products, market
strategies, key transactions and research analysis for various
business units
