POSITION DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
Human Resources Representative: MS/MBA: Human Resources, Industrial
Relations or Business Majors with Human Resources Concentration
Major GPA: 3.25
Overall GPA: 3.25
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in
the United States. The alliance companies will NOT consider
candidates with student visas.
Departments: Corporate, Business Units, and Refineries
Locations: Nationwide (Los Angeles, CA; Martinez, CA;
Houston, TX; Deer Park, TX; Norco, LA; Convent, LA; Delaware City,
DE)
Responsibilities: This role involves a generalist approach to
the HR function including projects in the following areas:
Counsel/Support to Management, Policy Administration, Pay Delivery
Systems, Rewards/Recognition Systems, Benefits Administration, AAP
and Workforce Goals, Recruitment and Employment, Staff Planning,
Employee Development, Performance Enhancement, ADA, FMLA and
Disability Case Management, Organizational Change Management,
Incident Investigation/Discipline. Employment Law, Industrial
Relations, Meeting Facilitation, and Special Projects.
Projects and support may include: detail work with HR data
collection and reporting activities, data analysis and communication
as required for HR activities, support for employee performance and
development programs, coordination and presentation of employee
information meetings, coordination of employee hiring and
orientation programs, participation in benefits administration and
communication activities, Industrial Relations research and
investigation, and negotiation and grievance process support.

. HR experience is preferred but not required.
