The Full-Time Evening MBA program can be completed in 16 – 24
months depending on the applicant’s educational background. The MBA
curriculum includes a foundation core, providing key business
concepts and techniques; an integrated core, providing half-semester
course modules designed to develop practical hands-on business
knowledge; and 12 credit hours for elective courses. Other program
elements include: - Fast Start Workshop – This 2 ½ day program
brings students and faculty together with shared objectives. During
this weekend workshop, students participate with new colleagues in a
team-based business simulation that introduces essential business
concepts. - Leadership Development – During a first-semester course,
Leading for Performance, students prepare a plan that sets goals.
Business executives and alumni are available for students with
one-on-one executive coaching, while faculty mentor students
throughout their programs. -Executive Coaching and Mentoring Program
– MBA students have the opportunity to develop mentoring
relationships with local business executives, alumni and faculty. To
help with leadership development, coaches provide one-on-one
personal attention. - W.S. Pierce Distinguished Practitioner Speaker
Series – Nationally-recognized business leaders and professionals
regularly visit the University to speak on leadership challenges and
strategies. - Capstone Experience – As part of program curriculum,
students work as a team to produce a strategic business assessment,
and then create an oral and written presentation for the top
leadership of an actual company. Students can choose from seven
concentrations – accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, information
systems management, international business, management, and
marketing.
